Volunteer Opportunities

Internet

Internet WorkgroupThe Peterborough Public Library needs volunteers to help with the public Internet stations at both branches of the library. Prospective volunteers should have a good knowledge of computers and strong communication skills. A police background check will be required.

To apply to volunteer in this capacity, please print out and complete our application form, and submit it to the library. To contact one of our Internet volunteer coordinators please call 705-745-5382 or by email.

Shut-in Service

The volunteers who deliver library materials make our Shut-In service possible. We ask that our Shut-In volunteers:

  • Have a valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Provide a current police background check
  • Provide their own vehicles
  • Be physically able to lift approximately 13 kg. (30 lbs).
