Book Donations

Donations of books, magazines and audio-visual materials are welcomed at the library and are used by the Friends of the Library to raise funds to purchase new materials and equipment and to sponsor programs. Donations may be brought into the library at the front entrance or at the back during business hours. If you bring items to the back, please open the mini-door on the South side of the building (near the dumpster). This is a conveyor belt on which you can put boxes and send down. Please try to keep all books in boxes so that they ride neatly down the belt. Thank-you!

Donors may call 705-745-5382 for more details.

All items are welcome, however, there are some exceptions.

Items that the Friends of the Library DO NOT accept:
  • Books with loose pages, musty or moldy and in general poor condition
  • Government publications
  • Audio books with missing CDs or cassettes
  • Pamphlets
  • Weekly magazines (e.g. Time, Macleans)
  • General Encyclopedias (e.g. World Book) that are older than 5 years. They will accept specific encyclopedias of crime, wildlife, etc.
