Community members of all ages are invited to participate in a wide variety of library programs designed to inform, inspire and enlighten.

Author Readings
The library periodically hosts popular and local authors for readings and book signings. Occasionally tickets are required, so please check our calendar and events brochures.
- Life Management Seminars
Workshops and seminars are presented to help you deal with daily living—finances, careers, health, etc. Past topics include: Canada Pension, Job Searching, and Income Tax Clinics.
- Book Club
Join other readers for librarian-led discussions about great books. Meets on the last Tuesday of the month @ 2 pm (September – May).
- Scrabble Night
Bring your own board or use one of ours. Play novices or pros. We provide the refreshments, while you provide the brain power. Meets on the first Wednesday of the month @ 7 pm (year-round!).
- Kniterary Nights
A monthly social knitting evening dedicated to all things "kniterary." If you'd like some encouragement or wish to network with other knitters like yourself this is the perfect opportunity. Nights may include speakers, demonstrations and workshops.
Kniterary nights will be held on the last Monday of each month from 7-9 pm in the Library Auditorium.
- Scrapbooking Club
Come use our space to spread out and work on those scrapbooks. Bring your own tools and supplies. We will have an optional mini-lesson each night, so please register and pay the
materials fee (if applicable) at the Library Information Desk. Feel free to bring supplies and materials to share or trade. Meets once per month, on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 9:00 pm.
- Gardening Workshops
Information sessions that will turn your thumbs green! Past topics include: Roses, Organic Gardening, Putting the Garden to Bed. Offered seasonally.
- Healthy Families Seminars
Information workshops on various parenting and children's mental health themes are presented by the Healthy Families Centre Community Partners. Please see the Healthy Families website for more information.
- Genealogy workshops
Looking to research your family tree? Genealogy is a study, a skill, and yes, a hobby. Learn about the resources available online, at the library and throughout the community.
