Library Board of Trustees

The Peterborough Public Library Board is established under the Public Libraries Act, R.S.O., 1990, Chapter P.44 as amended.  An applicant for the Library Board must be 18 years of age, a Canadian Citizen and a Peterborough resident.  Trustees sit for a four-year term concurrent with City Council and may be reappointed.

Board Meetings

The Library Board usually meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Boardroom.  Meetings are open to the public.  Members of the public wishing to make a deputation to the board are asked to contact the Library CEO at least 10 days in advance of the meeting.  The tentative schedule for meetings in 2013 is as follows:

To access the minutes, please ask in person in the Administration office, which is located in the lower level of the library. The Administration office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
